Don't scoff - Disney's killer pop instincts have turned the House of Mouse into a Motown for the millennium, casting and grooming a generation of talented acts singing hooky pop. And don't diss Miley Cyrus. The artist formerly known as Hannah Montana has a bright, strong voice free of the melismatic warblings that make Idol alumni so tiresome. Her second own-name release eschews under-age come-ons for go-girl guitar anthems designed to be shouted into hairbrushes at sleepovers. Electro number Fly on the Wall is about gossip, The Driveway might be about boys or besties, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun is remade with snarly 'tude.
